I have always been indecisive, but lately I am obsessing over the tiniest things. I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve spent looking at baby playards or Pack ‘n Plays online. It’s embarrassing. (I finally picked one just so I’d stop looking at them.)
Latest obsession: thank-you notes. We’ve started to receive gifts for baby and with baby showers coming up, the little 8-packs of notecards that have served me well in the past don’t seem practical now. I’ve spent plenty of time on the couch with the laptop, perusing sites like Shutterfly, Tiny Prints and Kodak, looking for the “perfect” card and imagining in my mind that people save them forever instead of reading them and instantly tossing them in the trash.
I decided on these tonight:
I think they’re adorable, and I love that they have a whale on them! Whales and other sea creatures will be prominent in the little guy’s room. Obviously.
I managed to save a decent amount on these cards- if you didn’t know, I am a bargain shopper (but NOT an extreme couponer!). Shutterfly had a free shipping code for orders over $30, and I had a $20 credit from Destination Maternity.
Tip: if you’re pregnant, or know someone who is, and you visit that store, be sure to sign up for their emails. I got a little bag full of coupons and freebies, most of which I didn’t use or need, but there was a gift card with a $20 Shutterfly credit. Great for future photo books, prints and thank-you cards!
And on top of all that…Shutterfly gave me another offer after I ordered my card. In exchange for sharing my card on this blog, they’ll send me another $10 credit to use on a future order. Since I’m pretty sure we’ll be ordering LOTS of pictures in the near future…I couldn’t resist the opportunity to save a little bit more!
